Case Study of Martinez Claims
The Opportunity:
Like most major organizations, Martinez Claims of
America maintained an intranet filled with useful corporate information. Also like
most major organizations, the Martinez Claims was not being utilized nearly enough to due usability and
design challenges. The mission was well understood: improve the usability, improve the
usage rates, and improve productivity.
The Solution:
Martinez Claims contracted with Programming Services to complete the following efforts:
reorganize the architecture of the Intranet information, create an interface design that
would capture the Martinez Claims brand and encourage increased usage, and build intranet software
that could be incorporated by Martinez Claims personnel to bring the vision to life.
The Results:
The newly developed intranet
templates were implemented by Martinez Claims personnel. While Programming Services was not provided with any specific
usage information, their Manager of IT did share that, "Everyone here likes the Martinez Claims Intranet
" and that the CIO very much liked the end result and was "shocked" by the reasonableness of
the investment level.
